Let’s connect to the Pranamaya Kosha this March, the energetic body, where breath flows and life force resides. Pranayama (breathwork) practices help us balance and energize this layer, creating harmony between the physical and subtle energies. Try this pranayama to connect with this Kosha.

Sama Vritti (Equal Breath) is a simple yet effective breathwork technique that helps create balance and steadiness in the body and mind. To begin, inhale slowly through your nose for a count of four, feeling the breath fill your lungs evenly. Then, exhale through your nose for the same count of four, releasing the breath in a smooth and controlled manner. 

Continue this steady rhythm, maintaining an equal length for both the inhale and exhale. As you settle into the practice, you may choose to extend the count to five or six if it feels comfortable, ensuring that the breath remains fluid and relaxed. Practicing this for 3-5 minutes helps to regulate the nervous system, cultivate inner calm, and deepen your connection to prana, the vital life force within.
