Massage and Wellness

We have several massage and wellness professionals who are available to work with you in the areas of traditional massage as well as other Holistic and Natural forms of therapeutic treatments. These services include:

Basic Relaxation/Swedish Massage
Focuses on calming the nervous system, reducing tension and anxiety, improving circulation, stimulating the lymphatic system and promoting a sense of relaxation and well-being through Swedish techniques.

Deep Tissue Massage
Focuses on deeper layers of muscles and fascia to address chronically tense problem areas, neck, shoulder, or low back by using deeper pressure and slower movements to isolate muscles, restore movement and relieve pain.

Therapeutic Massage
Combines deep-tissue work, Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, acupressure, and reflexology. Each massage is tailored to the needs of the client.

Sports Massage
Utilizes deep tissue techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cross-fiber friction, as well as, passive/active release, Swedish strokes, joint mobilization and stretching, which prepares an athlete for optimal performance in different stages.

Hot Stone Massage
Combines the use of heated stones with other massage techniques. This includes having warm basalt stones placed on the body or massaged directly on the body to soften the muscles for a very restorative and soothing massage.

Reflexology
Focuses on stimulating the body’s own healing mechanism by massaging points on the feet that affect related areas of the body. It relaxes the body and mind, reduces tension and anxiety, improves circulation of blood and lymph, and strengthens the immune system.

Reiki
An ancient healing modality from Japan which focuses energy to support people and pets. Reiki is particularly good for stress reduction and helps to facilitate natural healing on all levels. It is a noninvasive practice which channels universal energy to stimulate the body’s ability to calm, balance, and heal itself. It involves a practitioner placing hands on the body in various positions, but it can also be performed completely hands-off.

Aromatherapy and Essential Oil Treatments
Essential oils are chemical compounds found in some plants. These chemical constituents can have powerful and beneficial effects on the body, mind and emotions. At Body Balance we use high quality essential oils that are therapeutic grade and certified pure. We offer two different kinds of treatments that use light touch, massage combined with pure essential oils applied to the back, spine and bottoms of the feet. Wonderful for stress management, immunity boosting, hormone balancing and emotional wellness.
