Pose of the Month
Natarajasana (Dancer Pose)
In Dancer’s Pose (Natarajasana), keep your standing leg grounded and strong, with the knee slightly bent if necessary. As you lift the opposite leg, reach back to grab the inside of the foot with the inner elbow outward, ensuring your chest is lifted opening the deep front line.
This pose improves balance, strengthens the legs and core, and opens the chest, shoulders, and hip flexors. It also promotes concentration and body awareness. If balance is challenging, use a wall or chair for support. You can also keep the raised leg lower, or use a strap around the foot to lengthen your reach.
