SPECIAL STAND-UP PADDLE BOARD EVENT!!!
“Paddle On Williamsburg” has invited the Body Balance community to join them for Sunset Paddle Yoga & Meditation on Sunday, July 18th, Sunday, August 1st and Sunday, August 15th starting at 6:30 pm.
Body Balance members will get a special rate of $28 for a drop-in with board rental or $16 BYOB (bring your own board) but you must make your reservation through our website to get the discount, where you can also find more details about the event.
About the Event
Everyone will meet at the William & Mary Boathouse dock located in the Chickahominy Riverfront Park where we will launch and take a short paddle to the “floating studio” where we will anchor our boards.
Practicing yoga and meditation on a SUP brings a whole new perspective to being fully present in the moment. Yoga postures create a new challenge while floating, requiring full awareness, acceptance of Mother Nature’s mood and of course a sense of humor! The poses take on new meaning as the sun awakens the peace from within and illuminates your soul.
The group will be led by an instructor who is certified in Paddle Yoga, Paddle Fit, World Paddle Association Level 1 Paddleboarding Instruction, 200RYT and First Aid/CPR for adults and children.
All yoga levels are welcome but some experience is recommended.
All SUP levels are welcome but some SUP experience is recommended; we will offer a review of the basics of paddleboarding at the beginning of the event.
All attendees must know how to swim and must not be afraid of the water.
Children ages 13 and up are welcome but they must be accompanied by a parent or other adult.

If you are bringing your own equipment you may drive down to the dock and drop off your equipment and then park back up at the boathouse. Please give yourself enough time to drop off and then park so you are at class in time.
