Intro to Ashtanga Mysore Yoga Program

Join Kaitlyn for a 2-week Ashtanga Mysore Program, open to all levels and consists of 6 sessions. This style of yoga offers personalized modifications for a safe and enjoyable progression toward mastering each pose in this traditional set sequence. You’ll work on sun salutations, standing and seated postures, vinyasas, and a closing sequence. With dedication, you’ll witness an incredible transformation in your ability to move through the sequence with ease and confidence.
There are 2 different types of classes that will be taught in this program: there are 4 Ashtanga/Mysore Self-Paced sessions and 2 sessions of Ashtanga Led 1/2 Primary Series. The schedule is as follows:
- Ashtanga/Mysore Self-Paced Sessions: Can show up anytime during the 1.5 hours allocated. Time: 6:00-7:30 am
(M) December 4th, (W) December 6th, (M) December 11th, (W) December 13th - Ashtanga Led 1/2 Primary Series: Must show up on time for these 2 sessions. Time: 6-7:15 am
(F) December 8th, (F) December 15th
Ashtanga/Mysore Self-Paced Sessions held on Monday and Wednesday will cover breathing techniques, alignment, and movements tailored to your needs. You can also expect hands-on assistance and personalized instruction. Mysore session allows you to flow at your own pace, understand your unique needs, and address them under expert guidance. You have the freedom to arrive early or late to class, but it is recommended you arrive to class at least 45 minutes before the class ends to have enough practice time.
Ashtanga Led ½ Primary Series is practiced on Friday mornings at 6am and for these sessions you will need to arrive on time. Kaitlyn will guide students through the same sequence of poses that are taught during the Mysore sessions. There will be a deep focus on breath, gaze, engagement, and a proper vinyasa count. In addition to step-by-step guidance, the class includes modifications to accommodate all levels of yogis, making it accessible to everyone.
Pricing: The cost for this program is $125; or if you are a Body Balance auto-renewal or annual member the cost is $100. Single sessions are also available for $35 per session, or $30 per session if you are a Body Balance auto-renewal or annual member. If you are registered for the 2024 Yoga Teacher Training, the series is free.
If you register for the entire program you will automatically be placed in all 6 sessions. If you register for a single class, please be sure to enroll in the class on the specific date you want to attend.
