Teacher Spotlight: Caroline Hardy
Do you want to get to know your yoga teacher a little better? Lucky for you, we will be posting teacher spotlights to the blog and the social media so you can learn about your favorite teachers and why they love to teach yoga! Next up in the teacher spotlight is Caroline!
Caroline Garrett Hardy teaches Gentle Yoga, Vinyasa, and Pilates-Yoga at Body Balance. She is E-RYT200, E-RYT500 certified with Yoga Alliance, and has received much of her training at Ashville Yoga Center, Asheville, NC. Currently she is continuing her education in yoga through online classes with yogi Jason Crandell, who is much respected by many of our Body Balance instructors. Trikonasana is one of her favorite asanas because it is one pose practiced in almost every form of yoga class from Hot Yoga to Gentle. It relieves backaches, strengthens, and tones the legs, hips, and ankles. It also just feels so good to do it! In her private life, Caroline, and her husband Trotter, whom you might meet in Gentle yoga, are both exhibiting full-time artists.
Her teaching style focuses on movement for mobility, flexibility, and strength. Caroline provides a lot of details to her students about beneficial body placement with an emphasis on agility and strengthening the core. In Gentle Yoga, she makes sure to add a special emphasis on mindfulness and breathing. She recommends Gentle Yoga for anyone seeking renewal and inspiration who wants a more in-depth instruction or who is less familiar with yoga. She recommends Yoga-Pilates core training to add stability, strength, and self-confidence to anyone’s practice.
