Yoga and Pilates are fitness disciplines both of which focus on the connection between mind, body, and breath. The practices systematically stretch and strengthen muscles throughout the body, increase circulation to internal organs and glands, quiet the nervous system, and improve concentration. Suited for all levels of students, from beginners to advanced yoga practitioners. The series has 30 postures and is practiced in a heated room in order to warm muscles for a safer,deeper stretch, soothe tendons and joints, and flush toxins from the body through heavy sweating.

Vinyasa Yoga is characterized by a focus on viṅyāsa, or a dynamic connecting posture, that creates a flow between the more static traditional yoga postures. Vinyasa translates as linking and the system also implies the linking of the movement to the breath. The breath dictates the movement and the length of time held in the postures.

All energy for Pilates exercises is said to begin from the powerhouse and flow outward to the limbs. In other words, the Pilates technique asserts that physical energy exerted from the center should coordinate movements of the extremities.
